Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge is located in Lemala Hill on the eastern rim of Ngorongoro Crater in the Volcanic Highlands of Northern Tanzania. It has the most magnificent views over the crater floor, and is home to vast herds of buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, the rare and endangered black rhino, elephant, cheetah, leopard, lion and herds of gazelle and wildebeest. Its position on the Eastern rim allows the most spectacular and uninterrupted views of the sunset.
The lodge facilities and services include: Parking, Gift Shop, Internet Café, Laundry, Swimming Pool, Baby Sitting, Turn-down service, Coffee Bar,Restaurant,Bar, ,Full housekeeping services, ,24 hour generator power, most with a Crater view, 24 hour generator power, Hot water only between the hours of 5am-9am, and again from 5pm-8pm, Full medical back-up with a doctor on call .
Getting there: The Lodge is located in the east makes it easy for visitors to get to it since it’s near the lesser used eastern decent and ascent road. It takes about 1 hour to drive to the lodge from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area gate and around 90 minutes from Manyara Airstrip. However one can use any possible mean available and convenient either by road or air.
