The camp is set on the banks of the seasonal Mwagusi River unfenced and animals roam freely throughout the Camp.The thirteen rooms and main dining area all look out over the river, which during the dry season gets game meandering through. Mwagusi Camp is quite rustic in feel with high thatch roofs, and waist-high reed walls. Though they also have very stylish edge with polished red stone floors and bits of drift wood built into the walls.
Mwagusi safari camp is also built in the “old style” of reed and thatch, 13 chalets and accommodates a maximum of 26 guests. Each chalet consists of an open air shaded lounge area at the front. A comfortable tented central sleeping area and behind and adjoining the tent there is a spacious en-suite bathroom. Depending on the seasons meals are either taken out in the open under the stars or in the comfortable centrally located bar and dining area. The food here is really tasty home cooking, ensuring you will leave a little heavier.
